Hi, I'm Cali! A wife, a mother of 3 girls, and a lover of all things health + fitness. I was active growing up as a cheerleader, dancer, + sports. My fitness journey, however, did not begin until 2004 when I was preparing for my first figure competition. I was immediately hooked, but not in the way you may think. It wasn't the prep, glam, or stage lights that hooked me. It was the lifestyle. I was becoming who I knew I could be both physically, mentally + emotionally. I knew I had found my passion and I would forever be on this path. 

Shortly after competing I started teaching Body Pump, a group fitness class at my local gym. I loved helping people feel like they too could achieve their goals. Connecting with like minded people through health + fitness is the best energy out there! I made so many friends and learned so much through the process. As time went on, I continued teaching more and more classes and had many people wanting 1:1 help so I set out to become a personal trainer. I have been coaching clients now for over 13 years and couldn't be happier! I coach clients all over the world. It’s truly amazing! I love helping people find their path to a fit + healthy lifestyle.

I soon realized that coaching clients solely on workouts wasn’t going to be enough to help them reach their goals + full potential. Most had never gained proper knowledge about nutrition and the importance of it. A proper diet is the KEY to reaching your physical goals. This is what lead me to create meal plans + methods to help them truly succeed. I had to teach them that you can ‘never outrun a crappy diet.’

In the beginning, I provided each clients with a strict meal plan including ONLY clean foods. Some did great, but most failed because ‘diets don’t work!’ Once I learned about flexible dieting (counting macros), everything changed for me + my clients!

B I N G E E A T I N G

I suffered from binge eater for over 15 years. I hid it from everyone I knew, even my husband. It was an awful time in my life and I honestly never thought I’d overcome my binge eating cycles. I had always had an all-or-nothing mentality when it came to food. I would eat perfectly clean for 2-3 days and then my ‘binge-monster’ would wake, and I would eat anything and everything I could get my hands on. It was AWFUL! I felt such guilt and shame, but couldn't tell anyone. I felt so alone and embarrassed. I was sure I’d live forever with my binge eating secret. The only thing that helped me change my mentality + relationship with food was macros. Macro counting saved my life! I wouldn’t be where I am today without it. I am a better mother and wife now that I am not shackled by binge eating, food restrictions + obsessions. I’m grateful that I’ve overcome my struggles with food and more grateful to have the opportunity to help + teach so many people.
